Nirmala Sitharaman Leads Ministerial Delegation to Singapore for 4th ISMR
Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman has embarked on an official visit to Singapore for the 4th India-Singapore Ministerial Roundtable, joined by senior ministers to deepen economic cooperation.
The delegation comprises External Affairs Minister Dr S Jaishankar, Union Commerce and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal and Union Minister of State for Electronics and IT Jitin Prasada.
Established in 2022, the ISMR is a key high-level economic mechanism between India and Singapore. It provides a platform to review progress and explore new areas of collaboration across six pillars: advanced manufacturing, connectivity, digitalisation, healthcare and medicine, skill development, and sustainability.
The Finance Ministry said the 4th ISMR will build on the progress made under these pillars and explore new opportunities to further strengthen the India-Singapore economic partnership.
The roundtable will therefore focus on advancing cooperation across the six identified areas while reviewing progress made through the mechanism since its establishment in 2022.
